Sikh Heritage Week ( June 8th and 9th 2019)

LOP was invited to set up a booth at Sikh Heritage Week.

It was a pleasure to share in the event.  A great opportunity to showcase the work LOP does and the difference our volunteers make in others lives on a daily basis.

Worth a visit. Gives a summary of the basic tenets of Sikhi from Guru Nanak and all 10 Gurus, the 3 main principals – Nam Japna with the Mool Mantar and Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Kirt Karni showing hard work and earning an honest living and Wand ke Chackna, sharing the fruits of your labour ie Sewa.
There’s turban tying and Langgar for the visitors which will leave a lasting memory. There are also posters showing the contributions of the Sikhs to Singapore society with some well known Sikhs featured. Really worth a visit.

A well organised and patronised event . Kudos to the LOP team for participating and to the Community for bringing more awareness of Sikhs to public at large.

The Sikh Heritage Week Organizing Team was Very Thankful to LOP and its Members.

Thank you LOP team for your support in Sikh Heritage Day. Your presence added great value to the event and helped highlight how the values of sewa are put into practice in society today. Especially helpful in providing context to Our non-Sikh guests. Thank you ever so much.
